Who is responsible for your data

Paris Best Transfer, Rue Alfred Niaudet, 60340 Saint-Leu-d’Esserent, France, decides why and how the personal data described here is used. Write to info@parisbesttransfer.com about anything on this page.

What we hold, and why

When you ask for a price we record the journey itself — the pickup and drop-off points, the date and time, the number of passengers and suitcases, the vehicle class and the fare. That record carries no name and exists so the price you were shown can be checked later.

When you book, we hold what is needed to actually drive you:

  • your first and last name;
  • your email address and phone number;
  • the pickup and drop-off addresses, and their map coordinates;
  • the pickup date and time, and the return date and time if you booked one;
  • the number of passengers and suitcases, and any child seats requested;
  • your flight or train number, when you gave one;
  • anything you wrote in the notes field;
  • the language you booked in, and whether you chose cash or online payment.

We hold this to carry out the transport you booked, which is the contract between us. We do not use it to advertise to you and we do not sell it.

Who else sees it

The driver assigned to your journey is given what the journey needs: your name, your phone number, the pickup point and time, and the flight number if there is one.

Beyond that, three services process data on our behalf: our email provider, which delivers your confirmation; our payment providers, if you choose to pay online; and the company that hosts this site and its database.

If you pay online, your card number never reaches us. It is entered on the payment provider's own page, and what we keep is a reference to the transaction, the amount and whether it succeeded.

When you type into the pickup or drop-off field, what you have typed so far is sent to Google Places, which returns the list of suggestions you see. Google receives the partial address and, from your IP address, the rough area you are in; it does not receive your name, your email address or your phone number. Google processes it under Google’s Privacy Policy rather than this one.

This happens only while you are typing in one of those two fields. Nothing is sent when the page loads, and it does not depend on your answer to the cookie banner — the suggestions are the field doing the job you asked it to do, not measurement. The address you finally choose is then held by us as part of the journey, as described above.

Reviews on this site

The reviews page shows reviews published on Google and on Tripadvisor by the people who wrote them: their name or username, their profile picture, their rating and their words, shown as they wrote them and never edited or shortened. We did not collect any of it. It is read from each platform’s own service and displayed, and a review that is edited or deleted where it was written stops appearing here.

Nothing from Tripadvisor is kept: it is fetched by your browser each time the page is opened. What comes from Google is held for at most 24 hours so the page is not rebuilt on every visit, and is then discarded and read again.

Because those reviews come from Google and Tripadvisor, opening that page means your browser contacts both of them, and each receives your IP address and the fact that the page was requested. That is governed by Google’s Privacy Policy and by Tripadvisor’s own privacy policy rather than by this one. This happens on the reviews page and nowhere else on the site.

If you wrote one of the reviews shown here and would rather it were not: it is yours to remove, on the platform you published it to, and it will drop off this page within a day. We cannot delete it for you, because we do not hold it — but write to us and we will tell you where it came from.

Cookies and measurement

Nothing is measured until you say so. The first time you arrive, a banner asks whether we may use Google Analytics to see which pages lead to a booking — we advertise, and that is how we know which advertising is worth paying for. Until you answer, and for as long as the answer is no, this site makes no request to Google at all: the analytics script is not loaded, not preloaded and not contacted.

Two things are stored in your browser whatever you choose, because neither is used to measure or advertise. Your answer to the banner itself is kept in a cookie named pbt-consent for six months, so that a refusal is remembered rather than asked again on your next visit. Your choice of light or dark appearance is kept on your device and is never sent to us.

If you accept, Google Analytics sets its own cookies to recognise the same browser across pages and to count a visit as one visit. It records which pages you saw, how you reached the site, your approximate location from your IP address, and the steps you took through the booking form — never your name, your email address, your phone number or the addresses you typed. Google keeps what you did on the site for two months, and the identifier that ties one browser’s visits together for fourteen months, after which both are deleted automatically.

You can change your answer at any time from the Cookie choice link at the bottom of any page. Withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it, and takes effect on your next page view.

How long we keep it

A booking and everything attached to it is kept for two years after the journey and is then deleted. Two years is what it takes to cover a returning customer asking us to look up a trip they took last summer, and the period in which a question about a journey can realistically still come up. You can ask us to delete yours sooner, and we will — see your rights below.

A price you asked for and never booked is not kept that long. That record carries no name to begin with, and the addresses and map points in it are deleted after one month. What survives is the shape of the journey — the distance, the vehicle and the fare — with nothing in it that points at a person.

Some of it has to outlive the two years, because tax and accounting rules require it. That is the journey as an accounting entry — the date, the vehicle, the number of passengers and the fare — and it carries nobody’s name.

Your rights

You may ask what we hold about you, have it corrected, have it deleted, receive a copy of it, or object to our using it. Write to info@parisbesttransfer.com and say which of those you want; we may need your booking reference to find the right record. Some data has to be kept even after a deletion request, where accounting or tax rules require it, so a deletion here does not remove the whole record. What it removes is you: your name, your email address, your phone number, the addresses and map points you gave us, your flight or train number, any child seats you asked for and anything you wrote in the notes, from the booking and from the price record it came from. What stays is the journey as an accounting entry — the date, the vehicle, the number of passengers and the fare — with nobody’s name on it. It cannot be undone, so the booking cannot be restored afterwards, and we tell you the date it was done.

If you are not satisfied with our answer you can complain to the French data protection authority, the CNIL, at cnil.fr.
